People's Park
If I'd known (or remembered, I was reminded) we were going to play at the People's Park anniversary celebration in Berkeley yesterday, I'd have mentioned it here long ago. There was still a pretty good crowd, and I hope you made it, but please accept my apologies for not putting the word out.
Actually, although we played under the sign for the People's Park, um, Faire, we weren't really in the park proper. Our apparently ancillary festivities were at the far end of a closed-off street adjacent to the park. Closer to Telegraph, really.
Robert (a.k.a. Eggplant) did a great job setting up the show, first getting us a place to play, a PA, electricity to run the equipment, and even a nice canopy to play under. Bravo, Robert!
The random foot traffic meant a more random audience, which is always fun. Some even stayed. We can't really compete with Wavy Gravy, though, who presided over the main stage, and was definitely a bigger draw.
I'm kind of down on Wavy, though. I even felt compelled to stick a booger on his mini-van, since it turns out it was his karma that ran over my dogma. He even boasts of it with a bumper sticker!
