Howl at the Moon
Once upon a time, Onion Flavored Rings played a mini-tour in Northern California. We were headed from Eureka, where we'd played a show on a Saturday night, to Benicia, to play a show on Sunday night. Yes, two shows in two nights. It was pure mayhem!
But when we got to Benicia, we discovered the show had been cancelled over noise concerns. It was sad to consider that there might be no show at all, after all that driving, for one thing, and also because it's Paul's actual (and Iggy and Steve's honorary) home-town. In a mad dash to somehow have a show anyway, we helped inaugurate the 789 House as a place to have shows. And that became the only place we ever played in Benicia.
Now, two years or so later, the 789 House isn't doing shows, and the original place we were meant to play is. So join us at 8pm on Friday the 13th (June 2003, for those reading this in a time capsule) at In the Company of Wolves in Benicia.
Or don't. But wherever you may find yourself instead, think of us, perhaps...and howl at the moon!
