Mission (Records) Accomplished
Yesterday's show at Mission Records marked our official record release. I know there was at least one previous "record release" show at Mish Rex, but that one, based as it was on misplaced faith and reliance on third parties, ended up as just another show. And true, we played a show in Miami, Florida, in early January that was our official public debut with records in hand.
But this was our first show back home in our beloved San Francisco, and it was with great happiness that we began the long, arduous process of unloading our slab of vinyl on a gullible and unsuspecting public. There's an OFR fan born every minute!
The show was also our first since our post-tour hiatus in February, and it felt great to be out there again. And with all the shit going on lately, at home and abroad--do I even need to mention the Attack on Iraq and the police crackdown on dissent?--we all thrived on the return to The Rock.
