Show at Balazo

The old saw is "Bad practice, good show." The corollary, "Good practice, bad show" is seldom spoken of, perhaps for fear of some kind of jinx. Well, I say it, but I acknowledge I have a reputation for seeing the down side of things and speak freely of them.

So how about no practice? Extending the logic, such as it is, suggests a phenomenal show as the likely outcome.

Now, for reasons too dull to mention, we did not have our usual practice this past week, which means I didn't get a copy of the flier for our next show. So I don't have precise details of where/when/who, just rough information. But this is our chance to put the old saw mentioned above to the test.

In the spirit of logical and scientific inquiry, I urge you to attend our show at Balazo art gallery on Mission Street near 24th Street. (It's across the street from both BART station entrances, next to a McDonalds. It's not very prominent, as the gallery is upstairs, so the only sign of it is a single door at street level.)

Several bands are scheduled, among them This Is My Fist. Doors open at 8:30, but the music probably won't start right away. It IS an art gallery after all. Browse a while, then have some music. Last time I was there, they even had pretty cheap beer. I'll take a wild guess that we play around 11:15pm.

I know, and on a school night. Of course, if I'm wrong—and I often am—it'll probably be even later than that!
