For the record, the show at Balazo was indeed underway by 8:30 this past Thursday. We ended up playing slightly earlier than I thought, probably around 11pm. And in spite of our plans, we were indeed the last band. (We really just wanted to be the band that finished playing before midnight, so actual order isn't that important anyway.)

As for the scientific theory, well, if I may say, it was a pretty good show for us. However, this isn't strictly scientific, as there were other bands putting on awesome sets which can inspire even the most unpracticed band. Then there's also the audience, who were charged and ready by the time we started playing.

The next day, I confess, the thought "Why do we ever practice at all?" crossed my mind. But then I remembered that even if practice had been proven scientifically to be unimportant, well, I don't trust science all that much anyway. I even wrote a song about it once....
